Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Davenport, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

This is a pavement rehabilitation project including the roadway from about 2116 West 75th Place to and including the Pacific Street intersection. Rehabilitation area also includes short segments of Cedar Street, Volquardson Avenue and Kelling Street. Pacific Street intersection work also includes bringing existing sidewalk into compliance with ADA requirements and adding additional connectivity to existing sidewalks already at the intersection. Work will be directed by the City Engineer or their representative and will continue until budgeted funds are exhausted. The project may also include replacement of adjacent curb or driveway as necessary to properly improve the street. For all bids over $100,000, the City of Davenport requires a Bid Bond of 5% of the bid amount. A copy of the front page of the bid bond must be attached in the "Response Attachments" tab of the bid package. Bids over $100,000, submitted without a bid bond will not be considered. For awarded bids over $100,000, the awarded contractor will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount, and said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the Contract and the terms and conditions therein contained. Working Days - The contractor shall begin construction on or before April 1, 2023 and complete all work, including final cleanup and removal of all equipment within 45 consecutive calendar days giving no allowance for weekend days and holidays. Liquidated Damages - Liquidated damages shall be in the amount of $1,000 per day.
