The project consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following: . Replacement of existing 24"x24" slide gate . Installation of redundant 24"x24" slide gate . Installation of 8" bypass connection . Partial 10"/16" piping for future fourth pump . Also included are all associated appurtenances, pipe supports, valves, pump and haul operations, and bypass pumping. The work to be performed under this contract will be financed and paid for using cash on hand. Any conclusions or information obtained or derived from Contract Documents will be at the user's sole risk. Prein&Newhof will maintain in its Grand Rapids office the master copy (hard copy) of the Contract Documents from which all electronic copies are based. In the case of any contract discrepancy, the Master Copy (hard copy) shall be considered the controlling document. For bid surety requirements, see Section 00 21 13 Instructions to Bidders. On-site construction activities shall not commence prior to October 16, 2023, after which they shall begin as soon as possible. It is the intent of the Owner to consider award of the contract to the successful bidder at the March 6, 2023 City Council Meeting. The project shall be completed in accordance with the following dates: Substantial Completion: January 17, 2024 Final Completion: January 31, 2024 The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids for at least one hundred twenty (120) days thereafter.
