Evan-Thomas Creek Sediment Traps Re-Excavation The main items of Work of this Contract include the following: .1 Mechanical re-excavation of two sediment traps within Evan-Thomas Creek. .2 Hauling of excavated material to the Evan Thomas storage yard and managing hauled material within the storage yard. This includes developing (or confirming) a haul route plan for approval prior to work. A proposed haul route is provided in the Drawings. .3 Establishing temporary access(es) as required to perform the work including obtaining applicable approvals, temporary signage and fencing, and other measures as required to perform the work. .4 Adhering to Care of Water measures including, but not limited to, mobilizing equipment to site that is compliant with whirling disease mitigation best practices, and use of biodegradable hydraulic oil in equipment working near water. Care of Water measures also includes having pumps, silt bags, and bulk bags available on standby which may be required to facilitate the work. Turbidity monitoring does not fall within the scope of work for this contract and will be completed by the Engineer. Additionally, fish rescue (if necessary) and QAES monitoring will be completed by the Engineer. The Site of the Work of this Contract is located in Section 26, Township 22, Range 9, West of 5th Meridian, in the Kananaskis Improvement District.
