The Housing Authority of Bartow (HAB) will receive sealed bids from licensed and qualified contractors for Sidewalk Replacement (approx. 436 square feet)/Removal (approx. 2,377 square feet)/Grinding (approx. 63 linear feet) at both Carver Village and Woodlawn Village. Both located in Bartow, Florida. The bidder must have, at least, five years' experience providing similar services to governmental and/or commercial concerns in order to be considered for this bid. Minority and Woman Business Enterprises (MBE/WBE) and Section 3 firms are strongly encouraged to respond to this Invitation for Bids. The Housing Authority of Bartow (HAB) is requesting bids for: replacement of existing sidewalks; removal of existing sidewalks; and sidewalk grinding at both Carver Village which is located at 1060 South Golfview Avenue (please see Exhibit "A-1") and at Woodlawn Village located at 1060 South Woodlawn Avenue (please see Exhibit "A-2"). Grinding (linear feet*) 27 36 63 The successful bidder shall furnish all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment, fuel, transportation, and supervision necessary to provide the following goods and services. It is the potential bidder's responsibility to visit and familiarize his/herself with the work required at each site as well as to be able to meet or exceed the specifications contained in this Bid Package. The potential bidder is responsible for making accurate measurements and accurately determining the quantity of materials, labor, and equipment needed to successfully complete the work. Such inspections may be made during daylight hours Monday through Saturday. If assistance is required, the potential bidder may contact the HAB Administrative office at (863)-533-6311 during normal business hours. No work shall be performed by any sub-contractor without the written consent of the HAB. Although this is not a mandatory meeting, all potential bidders are strongly encouraged to attend this bidders' meeting. In the event that a potential bidder is unable to attend this meeting but has questions that he/she would like to have addressed at the bidders' meeting, the potential bidder may email questions to habprocurement@hardeemail.com prior to 4:00 p.m., Eastern Time, on February 06, 2023. Receipt of request will be acknowledged. All questions will be addressed and notes of the meeting will be kept. Notes from the meeting will be emailed on or before 6:00 p.m., Eastern Time, on February 09, 2023 to all potential bidders who received this Invitation for Bids directly from Tom, Hornack, HAB Procurement Consultant. It is the potential bidder's responsibility to monitor his/her email account for additional information relevant to this Invitation for Bids. The bidder is responsible for conducting its own field measurements to determine the amount and type of necessary: equipment, tools, materials, labor, fuel, transportation, and supervision required. In addition to the scheduled bidders' meeting, a potential bidder may also visit both the Carver Village site and the Woodlawn Village site during daylight hours Monday through Saturday. The HAB reserves the right to modify this Invitation for Bids as deemed necessary by the HAB. Any such modification will be sent by email on or before 6:00 p.m., Eastern Time, on February 09, 2023 to all potential proposers who received this Invitation for Bid directly from the HAB Procurement Consultant.
