Renovation of a transportation facility in Jackson, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 5,260-square-foot transportation facility.

**As of March 7, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. Award anticipated within 90 days. Bids shall have the name and address of the bidder clearly marked on the outside of the envelope. The envelope shall also be marked with the following: Sealed Bid: Airport Traffic Control Tower Improvements, Jackson County Airport - Reynolds Field. Bids must be submitted on the bid forms provided in the Project Manual. There is a five (5) percent DBE requirement for this project. Bidders shall submit a proposal guaranty in the form of a proposal bond, certified check, cashier's check, or bank money order in the amount of not less than five (5) percent of the bid sum. The proposal guaranty shall be made payable to Jackson County. If the selected contractor fails to provide the required materials and/or execute the contract within twenty-eight (28) days after being furnished with the necessary contract and bond forms, the proposal guaranty will be forfeited to the Sponsor. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory 100 percent performance bond as well as labor and material bond. No bid may be withdrawn after closing time for the receipt of proposals for a period of ninety (90) calendar days. This project is contingent upon receipt of 2023 FAA (Federal) funding, which may delay or preclude award of this project. Jackson County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities in bidding or to accept the bids or bid, should it consider same to be in its best interest. The project will consist of improvements and renovations to the airport traffic control tower building including window system/curtain wall replacement, mechanical system replacements, electrical and lighting upgrades, ADA accessibility improvements, elevator installation, and other associated upgrades. The project shall be complete and ready for final inspection within five hundred four (504) calendar days from the effective date of Notice-to-Proceed.
