It is the intent of the City of Milford to replace the existing hydraulic passenger elevator system with a new gear-less traction passenger elevator system. The City is soliciting bid proposals to Provide a complete replacement of the current elevator at The Milford Library, 57 New Haven Avenue, Milford, CT. At this location there is one existing Elevator system in need of a total replacement. Our intent is to utilize the existing masonry shaft and elevator machine room. We have included plans referencing the shaft size, elevator machine room size, location, and current door opening locations to be incorporated into the new elevator installation. This is a complete replacement and shall include all removals, all new equipment from the existing electrical service panel within the elevator machine room to provide a complete system. All work will be as required to complete the new elevator installation in accordance with all state and local requirements and necessary approvals. The intent is to provide a complete removal of the existing hydraulic elevator system and reinstall a new 2500 lb traction elevator as specified. All bids will be considered valid for a period of 90 days.
