Site work and paving for a civil project in Olathe, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
The Project includes the following Work: Grading, Dredging, Paving, Forebay Construction and Lake Restoration. This project includes the mechanical dredging of sediments (176,000 CY) and native earthen materials (50,000 CY) within Heritage Park Lake (40 acres) and approximately 1,500 feet of stream to restore lake volume. The work is phased to maintain the irrigation water supply within the lake during construction activities. Individual work phase areas will be dewatered prior to dredging. Dredged materials will be disposed of on-site within 3,500 feet of the lake in five (5) disposal areas, each with a water quality treatment train adjacent that will be constructed and maintained through construction. Lake improvements are also part of this work including the construction of a sediment forebay (40,000 CY), wetland area (to be seeded by restoration contractor under a separate contract), and water control structure; removal of existing infrastructure and island within the lake; and creation of deep-water cells for water quality and fish habitat.
