As of June 5, 2025, a design firm has not been selected as of yet. Per the owner, although a firm timeline has not been established, construction is not expected to start prior to late 2026. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Town is looking to construct a community amphitheater as part of the revitalization of its downtown. It is specifically seeking opportunities to provide a variety of family friendly performances including ticketed and non-ticketed events, so that the amphitheater will remain activated for most of the year. In addition, the Town wishes to relocate the existing structures on the East End Arts property to create the space required for the proposed amphitheater and the viewing area it will require to protect the buildings from flooding and be a successful event space. The general location of the proposed amphitheater is the southern portion of the East End Arts property located at 133 East Main Street (owned by the Town of Riverhead) see Exhibit A (existing conditions site map). A 165-unit apartment building is to be constructed on the vacant land to the east of the East End Arts property at 203-213 East Main Street. It is important to consider and mitigate potential noise impacts to this site not only for the future residents, but in examining feasibility.
