The intent of this Request for Proposal ("RFP") is for the City of Burnaby ("City") to obtain Proposals from qualified Proponents for the design, supply, and installation of approximately fifty (50) transit shelters, as further outlined in this RFP. The successful Proponent (the "Contractor") will be required to enter into a formal Agreement with the City; see Schedule A - Form of Contract (Sample). The City prefers to award all services for design, supply, and installation to one (1) Contractor. However, the City reserves the right to split the work and award the services separately to multiple Contractors if deemed in the best interest of the City. The main objective for this contract is to complete the design, supply and installation for approximately fifty (50) new shelters and benches in 2023 at various bus stops within the City. Locations are to be determined by the City. The City intends to award an initial Contract for a two (2) year term, with three (3) individual one (1) year options available for the City to exercise at their sole discretion, for a total potential contract term of five (5) years.
