Hollis Grade School Classroom Fin Tube Replacement Project. The Owner Reserves the Right to Waive Any Irregularities and to Accept or Reject Any Bids When in the Opinion of the Owner, Such Action Will Serve the Best Interest of the Owner. Bids on Work of This Contract Shall Be Subject to the Provisions of the "Illinois Prevailing Wage Act" (Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 48, Paragraph 39s - 1-12). Project Description: The project consists of existing conditions, demolition, mechanical, and electrical work associated with the removal of the fin tube heating system, unit ventilator heating system, and window air-conditioners in the twelve (12) first floor classrooms. The old fin tube, unit ventilators, and AC units will be replaced with new DX split system unit ventilators with roof mounted condensers. Three (3) cabinet unit heaters located in the classroom wing corridor and the East vestibule of the 1977 addition will also be replaced. The exterior classroom wall will have new outdoor openings for the unit ventilator outside air intake. The library air-handler and condensing unit will be replaced, and controls will be added, to better condition the ventilation air. In addition to this, the overheating of restrooms 250 and 251 will be corrected and the auditorium ductwork will be extended to the upper entry foyer.
