Renovation of a parking garage in Martinsville, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.
The City of Martinsville is searching for vendors to provide and install a 30' wide x 41' long metal enclosed garage. The City will provide a level and unobstructed jobsite. Minimum qualifications are follows: Vertical Roof System 14 Gauge Galvanized Steel Frame 16' Side Height Side and End Walls to be enclosed with horizontal panels 14' x 14' roll up garage door on front and back wall 3' x 4' framed opening on back end wall Building to be insulated with a minimum 5 R-Value throughout 1 walk in door Building to be installed on City provided concrete pad Vendor is responsible for obtaining necessary license and insurance holding the City of Martinsville additionally insured To view project location please contact Zach Morris 276-403-5354 or Jason Biggs 276-226-0170 In the event the bid from the lowest responsible bidder exceeds available funds, the City may negotiate with the apparent low bidder to obtain a contract price within available funds. The procedures for such negotiations shall be as follows: a. City, Engineer, and apparent low bidder together will review the project and attempt to find mutually agreeable proposed changes that will effectively reduce the cost of the project. b. Apparent low bidder will present reasonably documented and substantiated proposed deductions in project cost for each potential project change, which will allow City to evaluate each proposed deduction. c. The parties will attempt to negotiate and sign a reasonable contract for the entire project, the price of which does not exceed available funds.
