417540-5 As of September 11, 2025, an engineer has been selected and this project is in the design phase. Design will be complete in June of 2027. Estimated timeline for bidding is in June 2027. It is project construction will start mid 2027 and end early 2031. This project will construct a new alignment of S.R. 29 as a four-lane divided roadway to serve as a loop around the downtown Immokalee area. The design will have four 12-foot travel lanes with curb and gutter on both sides, a 22-foot median, and 12-foot shared use paths on both sides. The project also includes drainage improvements along the entire length of the corridor. As of April 11, 2023, this project is in the conceptual phase. Information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to spring of 2027. *Project information, including timeline and contacts, has been obtained through public sources.
