The Kent County Purchasing Division is soliciting bids for a 98 space parking lot addition north side of Wahlfield Park, located at 7117 Alpine Ave NW, Comstock Park, MI 49321. Funding is provided in part through a Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Award not to be issued until end of April 2023 following HUD Approvals. Work to be substantially complete on or before June 16, 2023, with final completion on or before June 30, 2023. Each bid over $500,000 must be accompanied by a Bid Bond executed by the Respondent and payable to County of Kent for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. A certified check, bank draft, cashier's check, or negotiable U.S. Government bond (at par value) may be submitted In lieu of a Bid Bond. Personal checks are NOT acceptable. Each contract over $50,000 must be accompanied by a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each payable to the Owner (County of Kent) and each in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract price with a corporate surety approved by the funding agency, for the faithful performance of the contract The Project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment and services necessary to construct site clearing, asphalt pavement, concrete pavement, concrete curbs, earthwork, storm utility drainage, landscaping, and other improvements noted on the Drawings and described in the Specifications.
