**As of June 2,2023, project was awarded to Robinson Paving, awarded amount is $2,250,959.50.** For construction of the project entitled 2022 TSPLOST Paving Improvements. Work To Be Done: The Work to be completed for the 2022-2023 TSPLOST Paving Improvements is described briefly as follows: The project consists of (but is not limited to) approximately 96,720 SY of asphalt milling; 8,560 TN of 9.5mm asphalt pavement; 90 TN open graded interlayer (OGl); 18 manhole frame and cover replacements and adjustments to grade; 16 valve box adjustments to grade; 5,710 SY pavement reinforcement fabric; 20 driveway apron adjustments; pavement striping, and other associated work. Contractor License: Any Contractor submitting a bid must be licensed by the State of Georgia. See Instructions to Bidders for additional bidding requirements. Bonds: Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than 5% of the base bid. All bonds shall be by a surety company licensed in Georgia with an "A" minimum rating of performance and a financial strength of at least five (5) times the contract price as listed in the most current publication of "Best's Key Rating Guide Property Liability". Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price shall be required of the successful bidder if contract is awarded. Each Bond shall be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to Engineer. The person submitting the request shall do so in writing and be responsible for its prompt delivery. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Question Deadline 02/20/2023 Funding: This project will be funded through local funds. All permits required for the construction of this project are expected to be obtained before the bid date. Reservation of Rights: Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, the rights to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced or conditional Bids and to reject the Bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that 'Bidder, whether because the Bid is not responsive or the Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the Owner. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days.
