Montrose County is accepting sealed bids from qualified manufacturers for a precast reinforced concrete box culvert. The box culvert will be used for a culvert replacement project on High Mesa Road, located approximately 3 miles southwest of Olathe, Colorado. Any bid questions must be received by 2 pm local time, February 9, 2023. Payment to Contractor will be made upon delivery of the box culvert to the project site and approval of invoice. Payment will follow normal County payment processing cycles for issuance of checks. The box culvert will replace culvert C-1977 over the Cp Lateral on High Mesa Road, approximately 3 miles southwest of Olathe. The culvert replacement project is scheduled to be completed in 2023. The County is currently out to bid for an asphalt overlay project for High Mesa Road. The paving schedule is currently unknown. We are seeking a bid for the earliest possible box culvert delivery date to determine if the box culvert project can be completed prior to the asphalt overlay. An alternate bid is being sought for the culvert replacement project to occur after the 2023 irrigation season with the box culvert to be delivered on or before December 5, 2023. The anticipated date of delivery of the box culvert shall be included on the bid and on the alternate bid. Manufacturer shall deliver the precast concrete box culvert sections to the culvert project site on Montrose County High Mesa Road. The culvert project is located at the intersection of High Mesa Road and Herman Road, located approximately 3 miles southwest of Olathe, Colorado.
