Demolition and site work for a water / sewer project in Anacortes, Washington. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
This Project generally consists of demolition of inactive Water Treatment Plant (WTP) buildings and structures including the following: Demolition of the former administration/pump room building, including structures coated with polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) bulk product waste. Demolition of portions of the former filtration basin, clear well, and sedimentation basin that contain PCBs or are coated with PCB bulk product waste. Excavation and removal of PCB-impacted soils. Processing clean concrete debris for onsite reuse. Backfill of clearwell structure and portions of the sedimentation basin. Grading and restoration. Transportation and offsite disposal of all soils and wastes, including but not limited to PCB-impacted soils and PCB bulk product waste. The Work will be done adjacent to an operating WTP which must remain in continuous operation with no disturbance throughout construction. A bid deposit equal to 5% of the bid amount is required.
