Renovation of a water / sewer project in Venice, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Project is to replace the membranes for the City's four reverse osmosis water treatment Justification: units. These units are critical for the treatment of the City's drinking water. The current membranes have reached the end of their typical lifecycle which is 5 to 7 years. Current membranes were installed in late 2014. This task will include the purchase and installation of 216 membranes per skid or 864 total membranes, only when a membrane fails. As of February 6, 2025, this project is included in the City of Venice FY 2025-2029 CIP and funding allotted for FY 2025. Engineer information and a firm timeline for construction has not been determined. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
