Demolition, site work and addition to a water / sewer project in Venice, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a water / sewer project.
In order to provide additional production capacity, a second, second stage membrane RO skid is being added to the WTP treatment process. The city is modifying phase II of our plant by adding another second stage RO skid to allow the current skids to be operated at a recovery rate of 75%. This will allow the city to run all of its current skids at 75% recovery and will allow the city to further ease the pumping strain on its production wellfield and further reduce wasted water. As of February 2, 2023, this project is included in the City of Venice FY 2023-2027 Budget CIP. Information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. A firm construction timeline has not been released. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
