All rights of way and easements anticipated for the Project have been obtained.Paving specs for Skyline Heights are as follows: Paving shall be from Hwy 136 to split. Approximately 810 feet and the width of the currently paved surface, generally 20 feet. Milling and deep patch 810 x 20. Binder 3 for the base by the ton. 1 1/2 inch asphalt topping shall be priced by ton. Striping newly paved surface, solid center lines, 2 fog lines and 1 stop bar. Paving specs for McLemore Street are as follows: Paving shall be from S. Chattanooga Street to Chestnut St.. Approximately 1,240 feet and the width of currently paved surface, generally 20 feet. Leveling entire road by the ton. 1 1/2 asphalt topping shall be priced by ton. Striping newly paved surface, solid center lines, 2 fog lines and 6 stop bars. Project completion date of Nov. 30, 2023. The successful bidder will also be responsible for warranting the paving work for one year after completion. A map of the Streets can be viewed in the Office of Public Works, 2776 South Highway 27 Bypass, LaFayette, Georgia 30728. The Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis to a responsive and responsible bidder. The bids will be evaluated and awarded to what is most advantageous for the City of LaFayette. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after Bid opening, except as otherwise expressly provided by applicable law. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid. Both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond will be required in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price. The City of LaFayette reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive technicalities and informalities.
