Site work and paving for a road / highway in LaFayette, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
All anticipated federal, state and local permits required by the Project have been obtained.All rights of way and easements anticipated for the Project have been obtained. Paving specs for N Chattanooga St. are as follows: Paving shall be from LaFayette City limit sign to Hillsdale Rd. Approximately .886 mile. The width is 22'.Leveling (entire road) shall be priced by ton.2" asphalt topping shall be priced by ton .Striping (newly paved surface).Solid center lines (newly paved surface).2 Fog lines (newly paved surface). Project completion date of Nov 30, 2023. The successful bidder will also be responsible for warranting the paving work for one year after completion. Any questions concerning the project should be directed to Rodney Parker, Director of Public Works at 706-639-1523. The Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis by Nov. 30, 2023. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after Bid opening, except as otherwise expressly provided by applicable law. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid. Both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond will be required in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price. The City of LaFayette reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive technicalities and informalities.
