Ideally, the work will happen concurrently, so contractor must be prepared to staff both projects. General Requirements - Contractors License Required - Federally Funded - FOB Destination - Installation Required - Insurance Required - Local Service Required Estimated Construction Cost: $75,000 (King Center) & $60,000 (Tivoli) This Documented Quote is to repair two (2) Marley brand cooling towers on the AHEC campus, one in the King Center and the second in the Tivoli Student Union Building. As an attachment to the Documented Quote form, firms must list each building and the lump sum cost for labor and materials for each (as separate line items). Costs will be listed separately for each building on the issued Purchase Order and should be billed separately. Ideally, the work will happen concurrently, so contractor must be prepared to staff both projects. Itemized details for each cooling tower are listed below. Estimated project duration (concurrently): 90 days King Center - 2023-085M22, AHEC Project P1003019: Marley Cooling Tower Model NCA221, S/N 151348-001, 1 Cell, rooftop location. 1. Cooling Tower Fill a. Perform lock-out, tag-out b. Remove existing fill media, supports and hangers c. Mobilize new material to roof and mobilize old material down from roof d. Install new fiberglass bottom fill supports e. Install new 15 mil block fill media with integral louver and separate drift eliminator f. Dispose of old material in contractor provided dumpster g. Return cooling tower to owner for start-up 2. Cooling Tower Gearbox a. Perform lock-out, tag-out b. Remove existing gearbox, drive shaft and motor (wiring to be disconnected by AHEC) c. Mobilize new material to roof and mobilize old material down from roof d. Install new gearbox, drive shaft and motor (wiring new motor by AHEC) e. Return cooling tower to owner for start-up Tivoli - Project P1002936: Marley Cooling Tower Model NC8304F28M NC242272-A2 2 Cell(s), rooftop location. 1. Cooling Tower Cell 1: a. Perform lock-out, tag-out b. Remove existing fill media, supports and hangers c. Remove existing exterior panel adjacent to fill media on exterior wall d. Patch steel on interior wall adjacent to fill media on interior marriage wall with cell 2 e. Line patches with non-combustible cooling tower grade liner f. Mobilize new material to roof and mobilize old material down from roof g. Install new fiberglass bottom fill supports h. Install new 15 mil block fill media with integral louver and separate drift eliminator i. Dispose of old material in Contractor provided dumpster j. Return cooling tower cell 1 to owner for start-up 2. Cooling Tower Cell 2: a. Perform lock-out, tag-out b. Remove existing fill media, supports and hangers c.
