The project consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following: 2347 LF HDPE Force Main (salvaged material). The Charter Township of Texas is in possession of approximately 2,370 LF of 12-inch HDPE DR 11 (DIPS) piping. This piping is intended to be reused on this project for the force main between Eagle Lake and Crooked Lake. Salvaged Material is located at the Townships 6th Street Park at 6321 S. 6th Street. Pipe is available as 46 pieces of 50 ft. each and 4 smaller pieces totaling 70 ft. 1377 LF HDPE Force Main HDD (New material: Crooked Lake) 2 Lake Level control simplex pumping stations; 500 gpm and 800 gpm pumping capacities 2 Lakebed intake beds; 780 CY of excavated and backfilled material on Eagle Lake and 1900 CY of excavated and backfilled material on Crooked Lake; and associated intake piping and appurtenances. No work or dredging within the water is allowed between March 1 and June 30 due to critical spawning, migration, and/or recreational use periods unless written approval is requested and obtained by Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE)in coordination with Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) Fisheries Division. Drawings and specifications are available onlineor at the Kalamazoo office of Prein&Newhof. Electronic drawings, specifications and bidding documents will be accessible/available only to those Bidders who are active members of the Prein&Newhof Plan Room. Bidder assumes sole risk for any project specifications and drawings, electronic or hard copy, obtained other than directly from Prein&Newhof.A $20 dollar charge will be added to all mailed drawings and/or specifications. Fees are payable by cash or check only and are not refunded. A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to the Charter Township of Texas in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price shall accompany each bid. This surety shall bind the bidder for a period of One hundred twenty (120) days after the receipt of bids.
