The liability of the Contractor under this Contract, but shall be interpreted to provide the greatest benefit to the City and its officers and employees. The above listed coverages shall protect the Contractor, its employees, agents, representatives and subcontractors against claims arising out of the work performed. It shall be the Contractor's responsibility to provide similar insurance for each subcontractor or to provide evidence that each subcontractor carries such insurance in like amount prior to the time such subcontractor proceeds to perform under the contract. It is the intent of the City of Kalamazoo to solicit bids from private vendors to provide and install monument foundations to the City owned Riverside Cemetery located at 1015 Gull Road and Mountain Home Cemetery located at 1402 West Main Street.
