Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Maplewood, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The 2023 STREET PROJECT consists of full-depth removal and replacement of existing streets with concrete pavement, replace concrete sidewalks and drive aprons, and other necessary appurtances and the milling & replacing of existing asphalt pavements. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check or certified check, or a Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an approved surety company and payable to the City, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the sum total of the base bid. Not less than the prevailing hourly rates of wages as found by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of the State of Missouri, or determined by court on appeal, shall be paid to all workers performing work under this Contract. When Federal wage rates are applicable and included, this contract is subject to the "Work Hours Act of 1962", (P.L. 87-581:76 Stat. 357) and implementing regulations. A Performance, Payment and Guarantee Bond is required. The contract contains a provision for liquidated damages. The City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive informalities therein to determine the lowest and best bid, and to approve the bond. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the specified time for receipt of Bids.
