Job No. P-91-029-23, IL 7 over Chicago Sanitary Ship Canal and Des Plaines River, Phase I Project, Will County, Region One/District One. This project requires 18% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented evidence of good faith efforts. The Complexity Factor for this project is 0.035. The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on April 20, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the Region One/District One Office in Schaumburg. Phase I engineering services are required to perform all work associated with the preparation of preliminary engineering and environmental studies (anticipated to be Environmental Assessment) for the reconstruction of the IL 7 bridge over the Chicago Sanitary Ship Canal and Des Plaines River (S.N. 099-0185). Phase I may include preparing complete bridge inspections and reports, data collection, preparation of base maps and mosaics, ground survey, crash analysis, traffic studies, traffic maintenance analysis, drainage studies, cost estimates, a Combined Design Report, and all other work necessary to complete Phase I. The estimated construction cost for this project is $20,000,000. The completion date for this contract will be 36 months after authorization to proceed. The Prime firm must be prequalified in the following categories to be considered for this project: Environmental Reports (Environmental Assessment) Location Design Studies (Reconstruction/Major Rehabilitation) Structures (Highway: Advanced Typical) Statements of Interest, including resumes of only the key people noted above, must be submitted electronically to the Central Bureau of Design and Environment through the Engineering Prequalification and Agreement System (EPAS).
