This project requires 25% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented evidence of good faith efforts. The Complexity Factor for this project is 0. The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on May 4, 2023, at 10:30 AM at the Region One/District One Office in Schaumburg. Phase III engineering services includes, but is not limited to, the construction of a pump station, bridge rehabilitation and reconstruction, roadway widening and construction, traffic signal, lighting, and drainage improvements. The interchange will be reconfigured to a partial cloverleaf pump station. The new pump station will be constructed east of the existing pump station. The various bridges will contain scope including, but not limited to, raising vertical profiles to increase clearances, stringer repairs, abutment modifications, approach slab replacements, concrete pier repairs, superstructure replacements, and deck replacements. WB 95th street will be widened to accommodate a 3rd lane from Harlem Ave. to I-294. New traffic signals will be constructed at the two ramp intersections on Harlem Ave. Roadway lighting is proposed for 95th street, Harlem Ave., and all ramps with new storm water drainage structures and detention basins, any and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the improvement. The anticipated construction completion date is October 31, 2025. The Consultant must complete and submit final measurements, calculations, and final contract records documents to the department no later than six (6) weeks after the completion of the project. The Prime firm must be prequalified in the Special Services (Construction Inspection) category to be considered for this project. Statements of Interest, including resumes of only the key people noted above, must be submitted electronically to the Central Bureau of Design and Environment through the Engineering Prequalification and Agreement System (EPAS).
