Renovation of a municipal facility in Madison, South Dakota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
For Water Department Building Renovation Project Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check or bank draft payable to the City of Madison in a sum equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid and drawn on a state or national bank or by bid bond in a sum equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota and made payable to the City of Madison. The check, bond or band draft will be retained by the owner as liquidated damages if the successful bidder refuses or fails to enter into a contract in accordance with the bid when notified of the award. The City of Madison reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities. Construction fence to be omitted in its entirety as the building site is already enclosed. Grading to lower door 105A at the North side will be taken care of by the city. For the building permits, the G.C. will still be required to secure permits but the fees will be waived due to this being a city project. All walls and ceiling will be insulated as shown in the drawings. Gas will be brought to the building by the Owner. The red iron structures in Garage 105 will be demolished. The general contractor will need to run power to the outside lift station. April 10th: Last day for Bidder Questions by 3 p.m
