Question Submission Close Date 2/14/2023 12:00 PM EST West Virginia University on behalf of its Board of Governors ("BOG") located in Morgantown, West Virginia ("WVU" or "University") is initiating this Request for Bids ("RFB") from qualified, experienced, and licensed Contractors for the partial build-out of the Shell Space Room 1100 which includes (but is not limited to) the design and install HVAC (for Lab 1101 and the Equipment Room 1101A) and Casework (room G11). See attached for more details NOTE: Required Completed Documentation must be submitted under SUPPLIER ATTACHMENTS with Response (bid bond, drug-free affidavit, etc.). NOTE: Questions MUST be submitted directly on the solicitation website on the Q&A Board - Please refrain from submitting questions until AFTER the Pre-Bid meeting NOTE: Addenda will be posted on the Q&A Board; while the system should generate an automatic email, please be sure to visit the site regularly during this solicitation. Cutoff for Questions: Date: February 14, 2023 Time: 12:00 pm EST The bid/proposal process is highly controlled. To protect the integrity of the process, any questions or clarifications regarding this Request for Bid/Proposal must be handled through the Department of Procurement, Contracting, & Payment Services. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated below. The date of issuance of the West Virginia University's Notice to Proceed and/or Contact shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion if contract time stated below is in number of calendar days. Substantial Completion shall be Four (4) months after Award Final Completion shall be One (1) month after Substantial Completion. Final Completion is considered when project site is de-mobilized and all project documents listed in Close-Out section of the specifications has been sent to the owner. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated above. The date of issuance of the West Virginia University's Notice to Proceed or Executed Agreement shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion of contract time stated in number of consecutive calendar days or established date. Time is of the essence. Liquidated Damages shall be Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Substantial Completion and Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($250) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Final Completion.
