The Shavano Park Street maintenance project shall consist of the reconstruction of streets within Shavano Park, Texas. The project will include clearing, demolition, utilities (drainage and CPS Energy gas services), paving, signage, pavement markings and erosion control construction. Gas services scope will be joint bid with CPS Energy. This project is an approximate 30,000 LF reconstruction project of streets within Shavano Park, Texas. Project will be Tax Exempt. Proposal for the City of Shavano Park, Texas, a municipality organized and existing under the laws of the State of Texas. Written Questions shall be submitted electronically until 2:00 PM (CST) February 17, 2023. Answers to any questions will be posted before 2:00 PM (CST) February 20, 2023. The Notice to Proceed will be issued at a Pre-Construction Meeting with the selected contractor after the bid is awarded during the March City Council Meeting. Contractor will have 7 days to begin providing material submittals and 30 days to begin work from the Notice to Proceed with a schedule of 550 calendar days for Final Completion. Each Bid must be accompanied by an acceptable bid bond or certified check in the amount of 5% of the total bid. Bids must be submitted in the bid form furnished. No bid may be withdrawn for 45 days after the above scheduled closing time set for receipt of bids. Questions received after the deadline for Questions and Inquiries may not be answered. Bid Proposal Sheets are included with these documents. All blanks on the Bid Sheets must be completed in ink, by hand, or electronically printed. The Bid price shall include such amount as the Bidder deems proper for overhead and profit (all prices are complete and in place). Bids submitted by corporations must be executed in the corporate name by the president or a vice-president (or other corporate officer accompanied by evidence of authority to sign) and the corporate seal must be affixed and attested by the secretary or an assistant secretary. The corporate address and state of incorporation must be shown below the signature. An Exhibit B - Bid Bond must be completed. This project will be awarded to the "lowest qualified bidder." All bidders shall provide documentation that demonstrates their ability to construct this project within the time frame allowed and within budget. Bidders shall include the following in their bid: Three (3) road construction or maintenance projects in excess of $1,000,000 in an established residential area within the last five years. Projects shall include name, duration, bid cost and final cost with change orders, and an owner's reference contact and information. Shavano Park reserves the right to reject any bids and to waive all informalities and irregularities and to select the bid deemed in the best interest of the city.
