Bulldog Drive Mahomet, IL 61853 Architect: BLDD Architects, Inc. 100 Merchant Street Decatur, IL 62523-1217 (844) 784-4440 Contractors are invited to submit an offer for the Summer 2023 Paving project. The project consists of: Paving improvements at the Mahomet-Seymour Jr. High Building (MSJH) and Lincoln Trail Elementary School (LTE). Work at MSJH includes milling and replacement of a portion of the existing East Drive. Work at LTE consists ofcrack fill and seal coat of the existing playground area. A single stipulated sum bid will be received for all Work. A Bid Bond and Performance and Payment Bond will be required. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers, or to waive any informalities in the bidding. The successful bidder must agree to conform to the current rules and regulations of the Fair Employment Practices Commission. Attention iscalled tothe provisions of Equal Employment Opportunity. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor to all laborers, workers and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). CHAMPAIGN COUNTY HAS BEEN AWARDED FEDERAL FUNDS MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY (DHS)/FEDERAL EMER- GENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY UNDER THE EMERGENCY FOOD AND SHELTER NATIONAL BOARD PROGRAM. Champaign County has been chosen to receive $92,344.00 for Phase 40 to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in the county. The selection was made by aNational Board that is chaired by the U. S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency and consists of representatives from American Red Cross; Catholic Charities, USA; National Council of the Churches of Christ in the USA; The Jewish Federations of North America; The Salvation Army; and United Way Worldwide. A Local Board made up of United Way and local service agency members will determine how the funds awarded to Champaign County are to be distributed among the emergency food and shelter programs in the area. The Local Board is responsible for recommending agencies to receive these funds and any additional funds made available under this phase of the program. Under the terms of the grant from the National Board, local agencies chosen to receive funds must: 1)beprivate voluntary nonprofits or units of government, 2) be eligible to receive Federal funds, 3) have an accounting system, 4) practice nondiscrimination, 5) have demonstrated the capability to deliver emergency food and/or shelter programs, 6) if they are a private voluntary organization, have a voluntary board, and 7) fully complete the required application form. Qualifying agencies are urged to apply. Funding for first time recipients is limited to $500.00. Public or private voluntary agencies interested in applying for Emergency Food and Shelter Program funds must contact Javaite Burton, United Way Director of C ommunity Impact, javaite@ unitedwaychampaign.org or 217-352-5151 for an application form. Completed applications must be received by 5pm, February 24, 2023.
