The project will develop a 3-1/2-acre parcel into two parking Lots. Parking lot one will be developed into a 100 parking space multipurpose lot serving both airport and NFTA Metro patrons by providing a parking lot that offers: o Park & Ride o Cell Phone Waiting o TNC Waiting Area (Lyft/Uber) o Metro Bus Stop Parking lot two will be developed into a 297 parking space Airport Employee lot. The Contract Documents may be picked up or sent via courier billed to the requester. Bids received after the date and time specified above for bid opening shall not be opened and/or considered for award. The NFTA reserves the right to waive irregularities, to reject any or all bids and to extend the bidding period. Bid security must accompany each bid and must be in an amount not less than ten percent of the total bid price if the base bid exceeds $50,000.00. Bid security may be submitted prior to bid opening either electronically utilizing Surety2000 , or delivered to the NFTA in an opaque sealed envelope. Details for electronic submission are provided on the NFTA's Engineering Branch website. In the event a bidder utilizes an offline bid but provides bid security electronically the electronic bid bond number must be submitted with the offline bid. The Contractor shall perform not less than 50% of the Work with its own forces. The time of completion for the project is 95 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages in the amount of $ 1,140 per calendar day will be assessed against the Contractor for its failure to complete the project within the time specified. The MWBE (Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises) and SDVOB (Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business) Goals for 13BL1806 are as follows: MBE 12%, WBE 0% and SDVOB 3%.
