The Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board, is constructing a new secondary school and Stormwater Management Outlet Channel (353 Powerline Road, Brantford, Ontario). The Board invites its list of prequalified General Contractors to Bid for the construction in accordance with the drawings and specifications prepared by Svedas Architects Inc. and GHD Limited. A new, green field secondary school facility constructed within the last 10 years with a size of approximately 165,000 sq ft in gross floor area comprised of: - A two-storey Catholic Secondary School with an approximate gross floor area of 153,000 sq ft. - A single-storey Childcare Centre with an approximate gross floor area of 12,000 sq ft. The facility will be home to approximately 1,257 students and will include typical classrooms, administrative spaces and Technology / Specialty Trade / Science / Art / Computer / Cosmetology classrooms, a triple gymnasium with change rooms, theatre, library, cafeteria and chapel. The Childcare Centre will include infant, toddler and pre-school care rooms and support spaces. Car Parking, bus layby areas, access ways and outdoor amenities serving the facility will be provided including outdoor sports field and 8-lane running track, landscape areas open space recreation areas, walkways, fencing and lighting.
