The work consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as described below and included in the technical specification: o Compliance with Los Angeles County Health Department requirements and other applicable regulatory agencies including required submittal of application, plans and documents and obtain approval for the project
o Obtain applicable permits from Building Department
o Remove and dispose of the existing 7 tank filtration systems
1. Includes associated piping and filter media
2. Includes existing filter controls and backwash valves
o Provide and install new 7 tank system filters to match existing filters
1. Filtration specs based on
- Pool volume 562,000 gallons
- 1,600 GPM at 6 hour turnover rate
- 7 tanks at 16.5 sqft total area 115.5 sqft
- 13.9 GPM per SQFT filter rate
2. Includes all new face piing and backwash valves
3. Includes new automatic filter control system
4. Includes new filter media
o Reconnect new filtration lines to existing piping
1. Pump discharge
2. Pool return
3. Backwash line
o Electrical connections as follows:
1. Electrical connections to new filter control system
2. connection to existing circuit in the mechanical room
3. Low voltage connections and interlocks
o New UV system
1. Performance medium pressure UV System as manufactured by ETS
2. shall be UV system sized for a 12 return line
3. New system to be medium pressure UV
4. Assume flow rate of about 1600 GPM
5. Electrical to be 3 phase 480 volt
6. Includes removal and disposal of the existing UV
7. Assume the use of the current UV electrical supply and interlocks Start-up, commissioning, training, and O&M's shall be included as part of contractor's responsibility. Additionally, contractor shall provide to the City a one-year material and workmanship warranty certificate before project acceptance. All costs associated with the completion of the project including compliance with various provisions of the bid document including aforementioned work scope and technical specifications shall be included in the applicable bid items.
