Questions concerning the project, scheduling, and coordination of work will be discussed at the meeting. It is highly recommended that the prime contractors bidding the project be in attendance . Project: This project consists of the construction of a 2,027sf single story New Animal Control Facility consisting of Office Area (6 spaces) and rear Kennels Area with 20 animal stalls & Food Prep/Storage rooms. Metal roofing on wood framed roof with masonry walls on concrete foundation to include HVAC, Plumbing & Electrical. Sitework to include concrete & asphalt paving, minor grading & chain-link fencing work. in accordance with the contract documents, technical specifications, and plans. Refer to Section 01 11 00 - Summary of Work for a description of the project & related information. This project will require 5% Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the accepted bid. Failure to provide required performance and payment bonds for this contract will result in forfeiture of the 5% Bid Bond. Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a Certified or Cashier's Check or a Bidder's Bond from a surety company licensed in the State of Texas, payable to City of Premont, Texas, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a contract with the Owner. The (owner) reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the (owner) for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder s qualifications prior to the contract award.
