This project will design, construct, and install up to seven public art pieces along the Burbank Channel Bikeway from the Downtown Metrolink Station to Alameda Avenue. Phase II of the Burbank Channel Bikeway is a three-quarter-mile bicycle and pedestrian path that runs along the Burbank Western Flood Control Channel. The Bikeway connects to the existing quarter-mile path, completed in 2021. As part of the Bikeway's design, public artwork locations were identified to continue enhancing the City's Art in Public Places program. This project is included in the City of Burbank's FY 2022-2027 CIP. As of February 9, 2023, information regarding a design team or a general contractor is not available. Construction is anticipated from May 2023 to July 2023.* *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
