Knoxville Utilities Board (KUB) will be hosting a bid for Steel Poles for Electrical Engineering Projects. These are dodecagonal, direct-embedded, galvanized, steel poles. All information is available in the Evaluated Bid document. This is for a five year supply agreement. Please review the attached sample supply agreement. The winning vendor will be responsible for submitting approval drawings for KUB's approval before a purchase order is created. All bidders must bid a minimum of 95% of listed items. Failure to do so could result in bid rejection. In accordance with a TDOT clause, these poles are subject to the Buy America program. However, I'm told the Buy America program allows for steel from certain other countries to be used and are acceptable. A full list of these countries can be found by researching the TDOT policy.
