Renovation of a detention facility in Whitmore Lake, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
ALL questions should be emailed to Susan Wheaton RA at wheatons1@michigan.gov address no later than 12:00 p.m., Eastern on February 23, 2023. PROJECT DESCRIPTION/SERVICES REQUESTED Design services for Phases 400, 500, 600 and 700. The project will be to address Pods 1-10 cell doors (perimeter of the pods.) Work to include new locks and electronic controls (connecting back to each pod's control center), remove existing and install new security food slots into the cell doors and modify doors for leg slots. PSC will be required to hire Allied Universal Services as a consultant for the new locks/electronic controls. 50 and 90% review meetings for phases 400 and 500. Cost estimate required at all review meetings. PSC will be responsible for running and documenting construction progress meetings twice monthly. Refer to floor plan PDF for PODS / cell locations. LEIN Check (Department of Corrections ONLY) All contractor / vendor representatives attending Preproposal Walk Through Meeting must submit a Vendor / Contractor LEIN Request form five business days prior to the meeting date (See the attached Vendor/Contractor LEIN Request Form). Send the LEIN Request form, filled and signed, by email to Daniel T. Smith at email address: smithD76@michigan.gov . The email "Subject" must include (facility name, project name, date, and time of Pre-Proposal Walk Through Meeting).
