Bidders will be registered and provided with a digital PDF set of the Bid Documents. Any Bid Addenda will be transmitted via email to registered plan holders: Bidders who have obtained the Bid Documents directly from Peter Gisolfi Associates. The Bid Documents may also be examined at the Mt. Vernon Public Library, 28 S. First Avenue, Mt. Vernon, NY 10550. All proposals must be enclosed in sealed envelopes which are clearly marked on the outside with the following information: "Mount Vernon Public Library, Millwork Restoration and Upgrades". No Bidder shall withdraw their bid within forty-five days (45) after the formal opening thereof. No phone, fax or email proposals will be accepted. The Mt. Vernon Public Library is not responsible for delays by any delivery service, or any other means of delivery, employed by the Bidder. Bids may be submitted in person at the Mt. Vernon Public Library, 28 S. First Ave., Mt. Vernon, NY 10550. The Library will receive Bids Monday through Friday during the hours of 10 am 5 pm. in the Business Office. Please note the Library will be closed on Lincolns Birthday, Monday, February 13, 2023 and President's Day, Monday, February 20, 2023. Bid Security will not be required. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in any proposals, or to reject any or all proposals or to accept the proposal which, in the Mt. Vernon Public Library's judgement, is in their best interest. The accepted Low Bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Labor and Material Payment Bond. This is a Prevailing Wage Rate project. SCOPE OF WORK: The Scope of Work involves the restoration of, and modifications to, existing built-in wood book shelving located along the perimeter walls of the room known as the Young Adults Library.
