Description of Work Name: Veterans Honor Parkway Pavement Restoration Location: Veterans Honor Parkway from Michael Road to the roundabout at Broadway in Highland, Illinois. Proposed Improvement: The scope of work includes retrofitting transverse contraction joints with dowel bars, diamond grinding PCC pavement, saw and sealing joints and pavement markings. The project is a "Public Works Construction" Project as defined in the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act 820 ILCS 130. As such, all bidders shall account for in their bids and will be subject to the general prevailing wage rates for Madison County, Illinois, currently published and as amended from time to time by the Department of Labor. Prevailing rate of wages are revised by the Department of Labor and are available on the Department's official portal.
