The City intends to establish a pool of qualified Geotechnical and Environmental Consultants. Inclusion in the pool does not guarantee that a contract for services will be offered to the consultant. Qualifications will be reviewed as they are submitted. All consultants will be notified of acceptance or rejection of qualifications. Contracts may be issued to pool participants at any time. If found qualified, the consultants will remain on the Qualified Pool list. Periodic requests for an updated statement of qualifications may be requested by the City. The City may reject any statement of qualifications not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements and may reject for good cause any or all statements of qualifications or waive any specification or requirement upon a finding of the City it is in the public interest to do so. The City, in accordance with the Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252. 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-Assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all proposers/bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that all business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit proposals in response to this solicitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. In general, work includes providing geotechnical and environmental consulting services for the City of Eugene on a contractual and/or as-needed basis. When a need arises the City may review the qualifications of the planners within the pool. If an appropriate provider is available, the City may enter into a contract with that provider.
