The City of Galesburg, Illinois, hereby invites sealed bids for the replacement of indoor tennis court lighting located at the Lakeside Recreation Facility for the City of Galesburg. All bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond and Performance Bonds will be required for this project. Vendors will be required to comply with all applicable EEO laws and regulations. The submission of the bid by the offeror in response to this Advertisement for Bids constitutes an acknowledgement of and an agreement by the Offeror that it understands and will comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and the Illinois Preference Act (30 ILCS 570). Resolution No. 90-74 requires compliance with the Human Relations Act and all pertinent federal and state rules and regulations. The contract award shall be made to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid properly addresses and complies with the invitation and is most advantageous to the City of Galesburg; price and other factors considered. The right is reserved to accept any bid or any part or parts thereof or to reject any and all bids. Provide and install LED fixtures, conduit, wiring and new piping to be implemented using the current 480 volt lighting system. o Light fixtures shall be installed using uplighting as the preferred method. o Light fixtures shall be able to produce 50-70 foot candles. o Lights shall be hung indirectly for light spread and variance to be consistent across playing surface for best light levels. Optimal location for tennis lighting is outside the doubles sidelines, down the middle between each of the tennis courts. o Contractor shall provide electrical engineer sealed photometrics, certifying compliance with the USTA, ITA and IHSA lighting standards for competitive tennis play. Highest level played is Division I. o Contractor must provide a lighting layout for the city's indoor tennis courts. In addition, contractor may also provide examples of lighting layouts for customers of a similar industry to City of Galesburg, at whose site the contractor has installed similar lighting layouts utilized for indoor sporting events. o Contractor must provide all equipment necessary to properly complete the project. o Contractor must demo, remove and property dispose the existing lighting system. The contractor shall return the existing lights to the city. o Clean up and proper disposal of all other job-related debris. o Two tennis courts must remain available for use if the project is conducted during Lakeside Recreation Facility's operating hours. o Bid shall include all labor, equipment, and material costs. The city will not be responsible for material overages due to vendor not verifying site, and no allowance for overtime shall be included; the work must be performed during normal working hours. o All work shall be done in a safe and workmanlike manner and in accordance with the Local and/or State Building Codes, National Electrical Code, ADA, and other State adopted Accessibility Standards, OSHA, and all applicable Codes, Regulations, Ordinances, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
