Estimated Cost $1,395,295 x 3 = $4,185,885 MassDOT Highway Division Prequalification Certificate is required. All questions must be submitted in writing no later than 3/2/23 @ 4:00 P.M. to JRosa@Cityofmelrose.org. The scope of work includes citywide roadway and sidewalk reconstruction and repairs at various locations, to include but not be limited to the following: o Reclaiming and reconstruction of roadways identified herein or as directed by the City Engineer. o Milling and paving of roadways identified herein or as directed by the City Engineer o Application of "alternative" road treatments such as stress absorbing membrane (SAM) and crack seal to prolong the life of roads in the City. o Construction of new, or reconstruction of, existing sidewalks and curbing identified herein or as directed by the City Engineer. Where acceptable, existing granite curbing in good condition shall be reused. Sidewalk materials include bituminous concrete and concrete. o Removal and replacement of discrete sections of concrete sidewalks, curbing, driveway aprons, and handicapped ramps. To the extent possible, this work will be given to the Contractor in batches. o Removal and replacement of discrete sections of bituminous concrete sidewalks, curbing, and driveway aprons. To the extent possible, this work will be given to the Contractor in batches. o Installation of handicap ramps to comply with ADA, MAAB, and MassDOT regulations. o Restoration of landscaped areas, walls, walkways, and other features disturbed by the work.
