On behalf of Blackhawk Technical College, J.P. Cullen & Sons, Inc. requests Bids for the construction of Blackhawk Technical College 1300 Suite Renovation Project. Bids must be addressed to Ms. Renea Ranguette and shall be enclosed in a SEALED ENVELOPE, marked with the names and address of the bidder, project tile, and the contract number for which the bid is being submitted. All bidders shall bid in accordance with, and shall bid upon the bid forms included in the Contract Documents. The Subcontractor Qualification Document form must be included with each bid. No bids for any subdivision or any sub classifications of this works except as indicated in the Work Packages will be accepted. Any conditional bid, amendment to the Bid Form or amendment thereto, or the inclusion of any correspondence, written or printed matter, unsolicited material or data, or details of any nature other than that specifically called for may disqualify the Bid. PROJECT DESCRIPTION In general, the work consists of renovation the 1300 Wing of Blackhawk Technical College including office space renovation, renovation and expansion of a culinary kitchen and dining area, restroom renovations, and adding fire protection. It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure you are viewing and downloading the correct set of documents and that they have been printed correctly. As holders of these documents, you are acknowledging your requirements to obtain any addenda or other materials prior to bidding and/or construction of the project. BID GUARANTEE Bid Bond payable to Blackhawk Technical College in the amount of 5% of the Bid must accompany each bid. The added cost for 100% Payment and Performance bonds is required to be listed on the Bid Form. WAGE RATES Prevailing wage rates are not applicable to this project. 2015 Wisconsin Act 55 (the budget bill) repealed the state prevailing wage law for local governmental units such as villages, towns, cities, school districts, or sewerage districts effective January 1, 2017. BID REJECTION Blackhawk Technical College reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities in bidding, or to accept the bid or bids, which best serve the interests of the Owner. BID WITHDRAWAL No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of Sixty 60 days after the schedule opening of the bids without the consent of the Owner.
