Reconstruct ADA Compliant Curb Ramps The work consists of reconstruct ADA compliant curb ramps and address various pinch points caused by narrow sidewalks and traffic equipment, relocation of existing signal equipment to reduce pinch points and comply with future upgrades of accessible pedestrian signal equipment and widening openings at pedestrian refuge islands to meet ADA accessibility. The bidding and award of this contract shall be in full compliance with M.G.L. c. 30S, 39M, as lastrevised. MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class ofwork as, HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION The work to be done under this contract consists of furnishing all necessary labor, tools, materials and equipment required to reconstruct ADA compliant curb ramps and address various pinch points caused by narrow sidewalks and traffic equipment, relocation of existing signal equipment, installation of new traffic signal equipment and the removal of a concrete median island. Work will also include minor reconstruction of sidewalk to accommodate relocated signal equipment, new and removed and reset granite curb, as well as safety controls and signing for construction operations and other incidental items included in the contract documents. MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as, HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION, for the project with an estimated value of $155,000.00 will be required.
