Renovation of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 70,038-square-foot elderly care / assisted living facility.
As of April 25, 2023, project was awarded to L&R Comm. & Construction, awarded amount is $1,484,520.24. 7656.21 Description of Work: Base Bid: This project includes an interior renovation of the kitchen area to change it from a full-service kitchen into a warming kitchen. Upon completion, all food will be prepared at an outside food facility and delivered to the site for service with single use containers/utensils. This project includes selective demolition, minor reconfiguration of spaces, architectural finish upgrades, new food service equipment, roof patching, and plumbing/mechanical/electrical upgrades. Alternate No. 1: Roof recover of the existing 70,038 SF facility. Work includes new 1/2" high-density polyiso recovery board, 80-mil TPO, associated flashing work, and miscellaneous HVAC & electrical work to accommodate the roof recover. Roof shall have a 20-year NDL warranty. Contractor will be responsible for securing their own permit drawings. Alternate No. 2: Renovation of existing restroom facilities to upgrade the shower flooring. Work includes demolition of existing flooring, new mud pan over existing floor deck, installation of epoxy floor system with multiple top coats and quartz aggregate. Contractor shall provide a unit price to renovate a set of men's & women's showers. Owner shall award sets of restroom renovations as funding permits. Contractor will be responsible for securing their own permit drawings. Upload of bids is the sole responsibility of the Bidder. Following the public bid reading, bids will be considered by the City and an award of the Contract, if made, will be within fifty-five (55) consecutive calendar days after the Bid Opening. Contract if awarded, will be awarded in accordance with the Gender Pay Equity Ordinance (5-5-31 COA). By submitting a bid, contractor agrees to abide by all provisions of both the Accountability in Government Ordinance (Section 2-10-1 COA) and the Inspector General Ordinance (2-17-1 COA). Work under this Contract is partially funded with federal grant funds from the U.S. Department of Treasury American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The ARPA program is regulated by specific federal laws, program rules and applicable policies; projects awarded ARPA funding are subject to ARPA regulations.
