The Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) on behalf of Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) Michigan Veteran Homes (MVH), is requesting professional architectural and engineering services to design an approximately 10,000 SF pre-engineered steel building to store maintenance supplies/spares, lawn equipment, tools, and workshop spaces, as well as member storage space. Select exterior building colors and architectural finishes to accent main building. Phase 2 of the project includes heating and ventilation, restrooms, loading/unloading area, driveways, sidewalks, utilities, and parking. The design should include provisions for Phase II to include air-conditioned office space, conference room, dedicated workshops, and additional parking under a separate/future construction contract. DMVA-MVH has budgeted $1,177,000 for construction of Phase 1 work. This request is to provide Phase 400 Preliminary Design, Phase 500 Final Design, and Phases 600 & 700 Construction Administration. We anticipate 50% and 90% design submittals at both design phases, including cost estimates with each submittal. LARA plan review fees are to be included as a reimbursable expense.
