Renovation of a multi-residential development in Double Springs, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
The project shall consist of the replacement of approximately 20 HVAC Units, for residential apartments, at properties in Double Springs, Alabama. The contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder in accordance with the rules, regulations and polices of the Authority, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the State of Alabama Bid Laws. Only Contractors who are properly licensed in accordance with criteria established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors or the Alabama Board of Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractors will be considered for bidding the work. All bidders shall show such evidence by clearly displaying their current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered. A copy of the Bidders License must be included with the bid. Licensing required by local municipalities shall be obtained prior to the execution of the construction contract. Bids must be submitted on forms furnished by the Authority. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. Bidders shall include with their proposal a certified check or Bid Bond payable to the Authority in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. Contractors are required to comply with the requirements of Section 3 for new employment, training, and contracting opportunities found in Title 24, CFR 135.
