A. Scope of Work: Work included under this Section consists of overlaying existing pavements of the various types that currently exist in the project area shown on the attached map (See Attachment A). B. Protection of Existing Improvements: The Contractor shall be responsible for the protection of all previously paved roadway, sidewalks, and other improvements within the work area. All damage to such improvements, as a result of the Contractor's operations, beyond the limits of the work of pavement overlay as described herein shall be repaired by the Contractor at his expense. C. All overlays will be a finished, compacted thickness of 2 inches. Roadway width to match existing (with a center line crown where possible). D. Corner radii at all intersections shall be 15 feet where possible. The Town of Port Royal, South Carolina (herein after Town) will be accepting Proposals from companies experienced with roadway paving. The intent of this RFP is to select an experienced site work construction company to perform the above services for the Town as outlined in Attachment A General Scope of Project and Attachment B Scope of Work. Questions will be received, via email only, until February 22, 2023, at 4:00 pm. All questions received by that date will be responded to by February 24, 2023 via email. Proposals must be made by hard copy delivered to the above address by the deadline date and time. The Town of Port Royal, SC is soliciting proposals from companies experienced with roadway paving.
