$180 million in bonds A conveniently located public parking deck, located downtown, but not on City Hall property. Construction materials will be approved by the Historic Preservation Commission to support the character of our historic downtown. The City may seek private-public partnerships for this project. As of August 8, 2024, the bond vote passed, and a CIP Program Management Team was approved for the bond projects. The project has chosen a site, but there is a lot of growing opposition. The existing building will be demolished to make way for the new parking deck.
