Site work and outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field in Roswell, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field.
The City of Roswell is seeking qualified contractors who are Certified Tennis Court Builders and possess a Georgia Electrical License to provide construction services to remove and replace two (2) double tennis courts, replace fencing around eight (8) tennis courts, and install four (4) new pickleball net footers with post sleeves. The Project also includes alternate pricing to replace fourteen (14) light poles at specified locations, referenced in the Plans and Specifications. One hundred and twenty (120) calendar days have been set aside for performance of the contract. A Bid Bond in the amount of 5% is required. Payment and Performance bonds equal to 100% of the Awarded Contract value are required. The City reserves the right to reject any one or all bids. The proposal is a fixed lump sum price to complete the work based on the submitting contractor's understanding of the scope and assessment of the site. Locations: o East Roswell Park Tennis Center - 9000 Fouts Road, Roswell Georgia 30076 o Roswell Area Park Tennis Center - 10495 Woodstock Road, Roswell Georgia 30075 Specifications: A. Demolition/removal of existing court surfaces, net posts, footers, and fencing and haul off to an appropriate disposal site. (See Figure 1). Any alternate bids would also include demolition and/or removal of any items to be replaced and not slated for reuse. 1. Tennis courts will face orientation of existing courts 2. Install new tennis net footers with post sleeves. 3. Install four (4) new pickleball net footers with post sleeves. o Note: Posts must come with sleeve covers for when either tennis or pickleball sleeves are not in use. See within this document (Plans and Specifications), Section E. Surface System for required type of posts B. Grading 1. Re-grade existing stone base with laser grader to achieve proper slope of 1" vertical for every 10' horizontal on a true plane from side to side, end to end, or corner to corner. 2. Compact sub grade with vibratory roller to achieve 95% compaction. o Note: Contractor is required to check for proper compaction. Any areas not passing compaction test will be replaced with crusher run. 3. Add crusher run aggregate as necessary to achieve a minimum of a 4" base. o Note: If crusher run is added, roll with vibratory roller to achieve proper compaction. C. Paving 1. Approximately 2,591 square yards - two (2) double tennis court pads (110' x 108') o Note: Courts 5, 6, 7, & 8 (Figure 1 - Blue area highlighted on map) 2. Haul and lay 2" asphalt type "F" course by means of mechanical self-propelled paving machine (grade tolerance 1/8" in 10")
